A collection of five minute soundscapes generated from “Imaginary Landscapes” - an infinite generative music program that runs in the browser.

The only human input is a configuration file which gives the program rules in which to follow when creating the soundscape. In each track’s description, you’ll find a link which will take you to the program and loads the configuration used for that particular soundscape so you can explore the scene for yourself.

No samples are used; everything you hear is autonomously generated by the program from discrete oscillators up. This means that you can get endless ambient music from just ~300kB of storage space!

For best results listen at low volume and *provide context*. The muzak it creates isn’t necessarily meant to be directly listened to, rather become part of the environment you put it in. I find that I get the most use out of it when I've got to concentrate on something but don't want to sit in silence. Leave it on in the background and see what happens :)
